Growth Circuit SF Center is Turkey’s business accelerator center, set up by ODTÜ and ODTÜ TEKNOKENT, to develop technology export potential of the country, to create successful international companies, and to accelerate investment and business development processes of these companies.

Growth Circuit SF Center is located at the center of San Francisco in the region called Silicon Valley. Within a one-stop-shop framework, the center serves, through a myriad of means, to support entrepreneurs to enter into US Market. The support given to Turkish entrepreneurs are:

• Building a communication hub;
• Supply of resources;
• Marketing of portfolio/technology product;
• Public relations;
• Business development;
• Investigation of sales opportunities;
• Capacity development services.

Growth Circuit SF focuses on issues such as export of technology companies and entrepreneurs; investment seeking and accelerator activities to promote growth; commercialization of and investment seeking for university-based research; motivating originally Turkish companies that have grown in the US ecosystem, to realize R&D investment in Turkey.

 

In 2010, in order to support international collaboration platforms, “Teknokent Project Management and Consultancy Office” was set up to prepare and apply for national and international programs, especially for European Union Framework Programs, and the projects granted was managed through this office.

Teknokent Project Management and Consultancy Office facilitates the dissemination of the ideas generated at the universities, public and private institutions by European Union Funds, and provides the resources for the transformation of ideas into research. Project writing, project management, reporting, documentation and registering of financial data prior to audits are some of the areas the office helps the academicians with.

The primary duty of Teknokent Project Management and Consultancy Office is to extenuate the bureaucratic burden of the academicians, thus enabling them to focus on research. 

EEN Anatolia Project for which ODTU TEKNOKENT is a consortium member, is a part of the Enterprise Europe Network, which is established to elevate the competitiveness of SMEs, to develop innovative production and sales performance and to enable them to further use European financial support.

In its first year, ODTU TEKNOKENT, who has an active role in the internationalization of the companies as being a part of this project, pioneered for the undersigning of more than 70 partnership agreements between Teknokent companies and international companies.
